Cross Country Skiing at Glendorn
We strategically placed our world-class luxury resort in the midst of a beautiful hiking trail system. This is the ultimate destination for cross-country skiers. Glendorn vacationers have the option to ski on groomed trails or those that they cut on their own through the breathtaking wooded scenery. You’ll encounter more than tall trees and lush greenery when you cross country ski at Glendorn. You’ll also stumble upon comfortable warming cabins where you can enjoy a wood-burning fireplace. Sit back, catch your breath and take in the jaw-dropping views of your surroundings. You don’t even have to bring your own cross-country ski equipment when you visit Glendorn. It is all provided for you including introductory lessons for beginning skiers. There are even additional Nordic ski trails nearby at Allegheny National Forest and Allegheny State Park.
Downhill Skiing for Fast-Paced Thrills
If you would prefer to let the slopes guide you through this winter wonderland, take advantage of Glendorn’s downhill skiing options. There are a number of slopes within a half hour drive or less from the lodge. Both Holiday Valley and Ski Holimont are consistently ranked as some of the best slopes in the northeast.
